Directions App is your digital destination guide for everything you need for a great trip, in one place.
New in this version: Receive entire “Trips”: instant, all-in-one guides to events, businesses, places, tourist attractions, etc. from hotels, travel blogs, tour operators, event organizers and businesses. A “Trip” is a digital guide book with added extras like search and instant navigation to each place.
You can also create your own beautiful, easy to use directions to your location. Share them with one tap to make it easy for friends, family or customers to find you - no more explaining!
Compatible with everything: recipients can open your directions on any device - there is nothing to download. They will have a button to navigate there with one tap, using any navigation app already installed on their phone.
Directions App was designed to make finding unfamiliar places easy. No address? No roads? No problem! Navigating a festival, meeting at a tree by the lake, or finding your car in a large parking lot... all easy with Directions.
How can you use it?
- Receive directions from any of our partners already using Directions App to make your life easier (hotel concierges, events, trade shows, tour guides, tourist attractions, etc.). They can share entire Collections or Trips with you with multiple locations, sightseeing tips, etc.
- Save any place you want to go back to, like your parked car, or a store. It only takes one tap to save, and one tap to navigate back to it later.
- Ran out of gas or have a flat tire in the middle of nowhere? Make it easy to find you and get help faster. Share your precise location instantly, with no address or explanation required.
- You have a business with a hard to find or changing location? Send your customers beautiful, easy directions they can’t miss. Great for short term rentals, food trucks, realtors, tour guides, tourist attractions, etc..
- You want to let someone know where to meet you or pick you up? Share the exact meeting point with just two taps - they receive a link they can open in their preferred navigation app (or in their Tesla’s built-in navigation) and start navigating to you instantly.
- You would like to add instant, universally compatible, one-tap directions to places or entire Trips with multiple places featured on your website (e.g. travel blog, reviews, etc.) with a single link or QR code.
- Where was that...? Navigate back to, or create sharable directions to any photo on your phone (requires that the photo has location info saved).
- Just been to somewhere nice? Share directions with friends and family to the best things you found on your trip.
We love feedback and constantly work on improving Directions. Please share your ideas, use cases, recommendations or anything you wish from the app (Settings --> Feedback).
Directions App has no ads, no tracking, no spying.

FiXED: We made onboarding and starting to use the app faster and easier. 2.4.5 10/14/2023 Version 2 is a major update. We reworked the user interface, added new features, optimized many things under the hood, and tried to make the app as smooth, easy and pleasant to use as possible. Give it a try - we think you will love it!

New: Locator. A simple, compass-style navigation aid to guide to places where regular navigation apps can’t - like the exact entrance of a large building, a ship in the marina, a fishing spot in the middle of the lake…

New: Automatically open and save Directions links or QR codes right in the app. You will find them in the new “Received” list.

New: Receive and save entire collections of places from websites, links, or QR codes.

New: Directions you receive can now have an Info Panel that provides extra information about the destination.

New: Directions App uses square images, so there is no need to turn your phone to landscape mode when taking a picture. So now the app warns you and prevents you from taking a picture if you hold your phone in the wrong orientation.

New: Showing GPS accuracy on the Camera screen so you know how precise the saved location will be.

New: We added a brand new on-boarding tutorial to show you how to use the app.

We found and fixed a few bugs, and optimized the app for speed and convenience.

Let us know what you think! 2.0 04/15/2023 - Collections: now you can create Collections to keep your places sorted into different lists of categories, like “Paris trip”, “Shopping”, “Places I want to see”, etc..
- Share: You can also share an entire Collection with others, or import a Collection created by others using our new .directions file format.

- Auto save: Directions you create are now auto-saved in My Places

- Backup: Back up and restore the entire contents of the app

- Export/Import: Export all of your directions into an HTML file that can be opened as a list in any browser, printed, or shared with others.

- New sharing options: We added options to the Share button. Tap and hold Share to copy the link, copy the address, copy the coordinates, or add the place to a Collection.

- We streamlined the user interface to make the app more intuitive to use.

- We found and fixed some bugs.

- We temporarily updated our app icon to show that we stand with Ukraine against foreign aggression. We hope that Directions App can help displaced people meet up with with loved ones or find supplies, etc. even in odd or unfamiliar places. 1.2 03/18/2022 1.0 11/04/2021
